If you haven't seen Eternal DC's pictures floating around Twitter and Instagram lately, then you're missing out. This creative collective has released new photos from its most recent photoshoot in anticipation for the release of its winter collection. The photos bring an element that draws your eye to the clothes as well as the personality of Eternal DC.

But what is Eternal DC you ask? Well recently, I spoke with one of the co-founders of Eternal DC, Jachuku Howard, about what Eternal was and what it means. He said it all began with brainstorming and collaborating with his friends Jamaal Franklin and Nemo Nash, who are also co-founders. Originally, it started with designing couple hoodies, then they started to get popular in the area after working with the musical collective, Sol Districk. Since then, Eternal has been creeping up in the DC creative scene. They've even designed t-shirts that have been featured at the Kennedy Center when NAS performed for the anniversary of Illmatic. Lit. Eternal began to gain recognition and is moving and evolving to advance the art form.

Eternal is different because we aren’t a brand we are an idea... a philosophy

Spreading love and promoting work between DMV artists is an essential part of Eternal DC's brand. Collaborating with other artists in the area is how Eternal has been able to reach its audience and get its point across.

Jachuku spoke to me about how he got his start in becoming a creative. And like all creatives, it started with passion. He said he explored his interests through dance, modeling, drawing, and wants to make music in the future. Poetry is also a big part of his life as he said it gave him to express himself in a way that he could be heard. And fashion is his main focus right now. It's inspiring to see a creative person following his passions full force.

Fashion was that thing that made me get up off my ass and get it and now the whole team is getting it.

I personally, love the creative direction and look of the winter collection. I will definitely be rocking one of the hoodies. Look out for Eternal DC as it drops its winter collection next week. Stay tuned for their latest photoshoots and projects as well. For now, Eternal is focusing on collaborating with different artists and DJ's in the area to create sounds for its upcoming event #PrayForWinter. I'm excited to see what Eternal has in store for us next as it continues to shake up the DMV. Visit www.EternalDC.com! IG: @Eternal_DC. (Photography: @GoldenPolaroid)
